What conditions do we see?

Total Health Chiropractic Rockhampton has substantial experience working with people presenting with musculoskeletal complaints. Our Chiropractors take a thorough approach to assessment, aiming to understand the underlying factors contributing to a person’s condition. We are open Monday to Friday and see patients of all ages.

All of our Chiropractors hold a five-year chiropractic degree and meet the registration requirements of the Chiropractic Board of Australia.

Our Rockhampton practice accepts GP referrals for bulk billing of Chiropractic services. If you have been issued a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) or Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, you may be eligible for bulk billing for up to five Chiropractic visits per year. Check your eligibility here.

What to expect from Total Health Chiropractic?

At Total Health Chiropractic, we take a thorough approach to assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Initial consultation – Your first visit focuses on understanding your history and current presentation. Your Chiropractor will discuss how long you have been experiencing your complaint, how it affects your daily life, and what you are hoping to achieve. A physical assessment will be conducted, which may include:

• Computerised posture scanning
• Motion testing
• Balance testing
• Orthopaedic and neurological tests
• Leg length assessment

Where clinically appropriate, your Chiropractor may refer you for spinal X-rays to assist in understanding your presentation.

Report of findings – This visit covers the findings from your assessment and your Chiropractor’s recommended management options for your consideration.

Adjustments – Where adjustments are part of your management plan, each visit is tailored to your individual presentation. Techniques that may be used include:

• Manual diversified technique
• Extremity adjustments
• Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) using blocks
• Activator method
• Drop piece adjustments
• Soft tissue release
• Rehabilitation exercises

Progress exams – A structured visit to re-evaluate your presentation and review any changes since commencing care. Your Chiropractor will discuss findings with you and, where appropriate, outline options for ongoing management.
