Total Health Chiropractic Rockhampton

Many people opt to visit a Chiropractor for relief from various musculoskeletal issues such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, dizziness, sciatica and disc bulges. Pain can occur whilst at work, engaging in recreational activities or even at home, regardless of whether you work in construction, manufacturing, transport, agriculture, health care or education. It is important to seek treatment if the pain is persistent or recurrent, otherwise known as chronic pain. At our Rockhampton practice, our Chiropractors cater to people of all ages with pain. Get in touch with us to find out how we can help you to feel your best today.

Why choose us as your Chiropractor in Rockhampton?

Total Health Chiropractic Rockhampton has extensive experience in helping those who are in pain. Our unique approach to Chiropractic treatment is comprehensive, enabling us to discover the source of the complaint, rather than simply treating the symptoms. Wherever possible, we strive to provide a long-term solution to health problems.

We are open Monday to Friday from 8am until 8pm, and on Saturdays from 8am until 12pm, and are well-equipped to manage any spinal or health-related issues. All of our Chiropractors have studied for five years and have gone through extensive training.

Our Chiropractor practice accepts referrals from GPs for bulk billing of Chiropractic services. If you are provided with a CDM or EPC plan, you are eligible for bulk billing for up to five Chiropractic visits per year. Check your eligibility HERE.

What conditions do we see?

People visit our Rockhampton Chiropractic practice for a number of reasons, such as chiropractic care for spinal injuries, chronic headaches and neck pain. If someone has been in pain for more than three months, it is known as chronic pain and can be difficult to diagnose due to the length of time it has been present. Chronic pain can result from prolonged physical stress and emotional stress, such as poor posture, excessive physical workload, or long periods of sitting or standing.

At Total Health Chiropractic, we help people suffering from various acute and chronic conditions, including anterior head carriage, back pain, bulging discs, hip and leg pain, migraines, nerve pain, lumbar facet impingement syndrome, pelvic tilts, poor posture, shoulder and arm pain, sciatica, scoliosis, sporting injuries, vertigo and whiplash.

What to expect from Total Health Chiropractic?

At Total Health Chiropractic, we use a unique approach to understanding the root cause and to help with pain –

  • Initial consultation – the first consultation is all about learning about you and understanding how long you have been experiencing pain, how bad the pain is, what is the pain impacting in your life, and what outcomes you want to achieve.Your Chiropractor will conduct an assessment, comprising of –
    – Computerised posture scanning
    – Motion testing
    – Balance testing
    – Orthopedic and neurological tests
    – Leg length assessment
Your Chiropractor may refer you for spinal x-rays in order to gain a complete picture of what’s happening and if there are further underlying issues.
  • Report of findings – this visit is about your results and recommended rehabilitation and long term treatment.
  • Regular adjustments – each adjustment is tailored to your treatment plan and specific requirements on the day. Treatments are a combination of traditional and modern Chiropractic techniques and may include –
    – Manual diversified technique
    – Extremity adjustments
    – Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) using blocks
    – Activator method
    – Drop piece adjustments
    – Soft tissue release
    – Rehabilitation exercises
  • Progress exams – a progress examination is a structured visit to re-evaluate your posture and show the changes that the Chiropractic adjustments have achieved. From here, the next phase of treatment can be identified.
