Dr. Ashleigh O’Brien is a Chiropractor based in Burpengary
Dr. Ashleigh grew up in Toowoomba, moving to Brisbane to complete her Masters of Clinical Chiropractic at Central Queensland University, and has been in Brisbane ever since! She previously worked as a Chiropractic Assistant/receptionist before starting at Total Health Chiropractic.
Ashleigh discovered Chiropractic at 14 years old when the hip issues she faced at birth resurfaced during intense swimming training. Chiropractic was the only therapeutic modality that gave her long term relief and allowed her to get through training and races pain-free. Ashleigh chose to become a Chiropractor after this experience, wanting to help others and improve quality of life in the same way her Chiropractor had helped her. She also has a keen interest in how the human body functions and how all the body’s systems interact.
When she is not in practice, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with loved ones, camping, experimenting with recipes, trying new activities, going on adventures and travelling the world.
Three fun facts about Ashleigh!
- She was born with dislocated hips and has had three surgeries to correct them.
- She was a competitive swimmer for approximately 12 years and had competed at the New Zealand Age Nationals.
- She is a card/board games fanatic!
